James Zhu Yao

Coach James is a highly experienced gymnastics coach with a strong background in competitive gymnastics, both as an athlete and a coach. A graduate with a Bachelor's and master's degree in Gymnastics from Beijing Sports University, Coach James has been involved in gymnastics since 1987, beginning his career as an instructor in China before moving to Singapore in 1993.

In Singapore, Coach James has coached at various local schools and gymnastics clubs, including a significant tenure as the Men's Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) head coach at a local gymnastics school from 2007 to 2019. Throughout his career, Coach James has led numerous students to success in various national and international competitions, consistently producing outstanding results. His coaching has also contributed to the development of several gymnasts who have gone on to join the Singapore National Gymnastics team. Since 2020, Coach James has been working as a freelance gymnastics coach, continuing to share his extensive knowledge and expertise.
